Barry

I photograph people, telling their stories visually. I’ve never really considered it “work”. It’s a passion. It’s my craft.

A lifetime spent looking thru the camera viewfinder gives me a sixth sense to be in the right places at the right times to capture decisive moments. This expertise comes from years of photojournalistic work for national magazines, corporations, healthcare, higher education and other public sector firms. I also share a Pulitzer Prize in Journalism awarded in 2000.

It’s my belief that a photograph is worth 1,000 words. Strong images – the ones that really grab your attention – are worth 1,000 words many times over and really do tell us stories.

Colorado’s always been home – a great place for us to raise 2 sons (grown and on their own now), mid-America for easy travel to on-location assignments, fifty-four 14,000′ high mountain peaks to climb. It’s also home to some outstanding yoga instructors that have enabled me to enrich my life thru a 10 year yoga practice and certification as a yoga instructor.
